Sci Fi Box Office: Weekly post tracking the performance of sci fi and fantasy movies in the theaters and on streaming.

Box Office Results

The horror entry The Bride! only managed to grab the Number 3 slot at the Box Office this past weekend for its premiere, pulling in just over $7 million in receipts domestically. With global ticket sales, its total tally was $13.9 million, but it will have difficulty recouping its $85 million budget during its theatrical run. Scream 7 slipped to the Number 2 slot in its second week, pulling in another $17 million in North America. With a budget of $45 million and $150 million in receipts globally thus far, it already counts as another profitable entry for the franchise. Avatar: Fire and Ash slipped to Number 13 in its twelfth week of release with close to $1.5 billion globally, and that one has also turned a profit for its franchise. Below are all of the genre films from the Top 20 based on the weekend results.
