Sci Fi Movie News

The Paranormal Activity franchise is getting resurrected with James Wan who is in the process of developing a new film in that series. Blumhouse–Atomic Monster will be partnering with Paramount Pictures on the film, but there is not much information available about it at this point. Wan had the following to say about his revival:
I’ve been a huge admirer of Paranormal Activity since the brilliant first movie, with its creeping slow burn and subtle ability to make the unseen terrifying. I’m looking forward to expanding on its legacy and helping shape the next evolution of this scary found footage franchise.
The original Paranormal Activity was a found-footage horror entry that proved to be a huge hit at the Box Office in 2007 and has delivered six sequels thus far. It is unclear if Wan is planning a reboot or a continuation from the other films.
The second film in The Batman series–which stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader–is finally moving forward, and it brings with it a surprise casting announcement. Scarlett Johansson will be jumping shipping from the MCU where she played Black Widow and will be joining the DC film. There is no word at this point on what character she will play, but there will certainly be plenty of speculation on her role in The Batman universe.
