The series finale for Prime Video’s The Boys is set for May 20th, but fans can get a jump on that as it will get an early release in Theaters on the day before. It will be showing in Regal, AMC, B&B, Marcus, Cineplex, Cinema West, Cinepolis and Regency locations in the U.S. and Canada, and it will be available with 4DX technology. Variety gives the following description for that:
The 4DX movie theater format utilizes motion-enabled chairs, which create vibrations and sensations during screenings, and tech that simulates weather conditions and other environmental aspects.
According to the article, tickets can be reserved with the purchase of a concession voucher that’s redeemable the day of the screening
HBO is going all-in on its Harry Potter reboot and has renewed the series for a second season in advance of its first season premiere which is scheduled for December 2026. The second year will be based on the book The Chamber of Secrets, and production has begun on that.
In additional production news, the long-in-development Blade Runner: 2099 series is currently in post-production, but it is not expected to premiere until some point in 2027. As for Apple TV’s Pluribus, that one is set to start shooting in Fall of 2026 which should have it on target for a 2027 premiere as well.
