Sci Fi Box Office: Weekly post tracking the performance of sci fi and fantasy movies in the theaters and on streaming.
Box Office Results
Project Hail Mary continues to perform strong at the Box Office, slipping just one slot in its sixth week to Number 3 while adding another $12.8 million to its domestic tally. That one has now surpassed $600 million in global ticket sales vs. a budget of $200 million and should certainly be in the black at this point. Lee Cronin’s The Mummy slipped to Number 4 in its second week, pulling in $5.5 million domestically. It is now at $67 million worldwide vs. a budget of $22 million, and it should count as a success as well. The Japanese horror film Exit 8 slipped to Number 17 in its third week of domestic release, but it has already turned quite a profit in its home country. Below are all of the genre films from the Top 20 based on the weekend results.
